When it comes to healthy living and healthy weight,
there is only one doctor who can give it to us straight.
Forget the doctors hyping their weight loss plans that basically say, “Everything you’re eating now is bad for you. You have to start eating stuff you don’t like to detoxify your body, reset your system and eliminate your cravings.”
It’s not true!
Food is a part of the weight loss solution. Changes to how you eat will be necessary. Usually how much and what you eat on a regular basis requires adjustments for losing weight, maintaining the loss, and promoting better health.
Food is important but, it’s impossible to change your relationship with food unless you change how you think about food. You have to stop thinking that food controls you and accept your responsibility to be the only one in charge of how you eat.

HOW TO STOP MAKING EXCUSES
Excuses sound like real reasons stopping you from doing what it takes to get to, or stay, at goal. They are really just stories created to explain why you aren’t doing what you didn’t want to do in the first place. They’re a way to try to make us feel better about doing something we regret later or place the blame for our regrettable actions somewhere besides ourselves. Like everybody, you probably make excuses. If you make them often, you need to stop. Own your mistakes and learn from them to avoid repeating them.

HOW TO MANAGE A CONTROLLED INDULGENCE
“I can’t eat that. I’m on a diet.” An indulgence from time to time is an extremely powerful way to stay satisfied and avoid feelings of deprivation. It also is empowering to learn that it’s possible to enjoy an indulgence without losing control.

HOW TO BEAT CHALLENGESChannel the Cat in the Hat! Creative thinking, a positive attitude, tenacity, and a cheerful outlook are the most important tools you’ll need to lose weight and they don’t cost you a cent.
Changing your habits is challenging. Habits are things we do because they give us something we want or need. The more we repeat the action, the more automatic the habit becomes. Replacing a habit is challenging, but not impossible. Again, the hardest part in changing negative habits into positive habits, is having confidence that we are bigger than the challenges we’ll face.
