I’m Pro Choice and I Vote!

I am Pro Choice and I vote.

I’m not talking about being pro choice in regards to women’s reproductive rights. I am referring to my own and every other American’s digestive rights! Why does Pro Choice only refer to reproductive rights and why do people who claim to be Pro Choice want to take away my digestive rights?Screen Shot 2015-05-21 at 10.09.53 AM

Yes! My digestive rights.

I’m talking about my right to choose the foods I want to eat without paying “sin taxes.” I don’t want to build my entire diet on eating processed foods made with added sugars, fats and salts, but I do like to include such foods as part of my healthful diet.

I’m aware that somebody might be flipping out at that statement and vigorously disagreeing that a healthful diet includes such foods. Although I prefer to avoid arguments and confrontations, to anybody who calls the afore mentioned foods “poison” I say, “fine!” Eat what you want and judge the quality of your own diet and leave me to eat what I want and be the judge of my diet.

Certain people, who may or may not be qualified to share their opinions in a variety of influential media, will have followers believing that food corporations are trying to kill us with the food they sell, or that obese Americans need government limits on food choices and portions for “their own good.” They are providing the foundation our government needs to overstep its boundaries to try to change what we eat with oppressive taxes.

I'm not endorsing a steady diet of this stuff but I do believe that what to eat should be a choice that every adult makes for himself or herself.

I am not in favor of arbitrary limits set on the size of the drinks I can order. I don’t think that candy and chips should be taxed if oranges and apples are not. I don’t endorse food choice restrictions on EBT cards.

I'm not saying that a steady diet of this stuff is smart, but I do think the choice of what to eat belongs to each individual adult.

I’m PRO FOOD CHOICE AND I VOTE! JOIN ME!

Health and food choices will not improve with legislation, it takes education!

I will defend my right and the rights of others to make our personal digestive choices without unnecessary and excessive government restrictions and/or taxes!
