The Best of Sooner of Lighter! McDonald’s Diet McWorks!

I started writing blogs for Bangor Daily News about a year ago.

I’ve written more than 300 blogs in that time. Some of them were overlooked, even though I thought they were among my better blogs. Others got lots of “looks” and “likes.”

I think it makes sense that I re-promote the blogs I consider to be among my best! I’m starting with The McDonald’s Diet! It McWorks! Lose Weight Eating Fast Food!

An old weight loss adage is, “if you don’t want to fall, don’t go where it’s slippery.” I think this is bad advice and undermines lasting success. I believe that if you want to change what you weigh and you want to maintain the change, you need to “learn how to walk where it’s slippery.”

Guilt and cravings are the stuff that obesity is made of. Learning how to eat what you love sensibly and responsibly is the way to succeed with your weight-related goals!

The problem with staying away from all that’s slippery is that is simply not possible. The reality is that our environment is full of slippery spots. Moreover, much like black ice, we may not know we’re treading on slippery surfaces until we fall! Learning how to walk where it’s slippery is a safer way to maintain a lower weight.

Go ahead! Eat fast food with confidence that it can help you achieve and sustain your weight-related goals!

Political reasons aside, if you happen to enjoy fast food, there is no reason why you can’t eat it without jeopardizing your weight-related goals!
