Stupid Weight Loss Tricks

These are stupid weight loss tricks, but what the heck, they work!

The hard part about weight loss is sticking to your weight loss plan. While there are some basics that make sticking to the plan easier, few people with weight to lose have reported it’s “easy to lose weight.” Anything that helps you improve your eating and exercising habits, even stupid tricks, is worth trying!

Graze on frozen peas, carrots, and corn!

Let’s face it. Sometimes we know we’re not hungry but our mouth wants food in it. We could nibble nuts, which are good for us although they’re a high calorie snack, or we could pop m&m candies. The drawback with popping m&m candies is obvious. Try frozen peas, carrots and corn. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????They’re cold and that makes them interesting. They provide a nice resistance to the tooth, so they give you a chewing workout which helps you to be satisfied with a smaller serving. They’re naturally sweet and good source of fiber and vitamins and add nutritional value to your overall food plan.

HAPIfork Bluetooth-Enabled Smart Fork!

Hahaha! I know, I know! Even the name, Smart Fork sounds stupid, but the principle is more than just silly, it makes sense. At around $100.00 it’s not cheap, but think of it this way, you’re getting a personal eating coach.

Eating too fast is a common way that people gain weight. They swallow more food than they need to feel full and satisfied because their brain hasn’t caught up with what they swallowed. It’s true that it takes 20 minutes or so after starting a meal to recognize satiety. By slowing your eating you can reduce your calories without feeling hungry or deprived. The HAPIfork helps you “slow your roll” by vibrating to remind you if you’re eating too fast. The default setting is vibrating when you eat at a rate faster than a bite every 10 seconds although it’s customizable to suit your personal needs.

The fork can also be used to passively track eating habits and automatically sync that information, including duration of meals and frequency of forkfuls, with a smartphone.

Is it a fork, or is it a personal weight loss coach? It’s both!

Junk Mail Jumping

This isn’t exactly a high-intensity interval training method, but it does increase your physical activity, calorie burn and can help improve your overall health and fitness. It’s a quick, fast, effective workout!

Here’s how it works. Go to the mailbox and remove the mail. Now sort it and put all the unsolicited junk mail and catalogs in a pile. You can also add the bills if you want. Now, for each piece of mail in the pile, jump 50 times as high and fast as you can. If the pile of junk mail on some days is too big, you can save a few pieces for a day when you get too little or none at all.

A mailbox stuffed with junk mail can send you jumping for joy!
